ESGI Completes Senior VP of Business Development Search for Phacil

phacilWashington, D.C. - ESGI, a retained executive search firm, is proud to announce the completion of an executive search for Phacil, Inc.

Joining the company as Senior Vice President, Business Development is William (Bill) Grabner. Bill will be responsible for leading the business development efforts for Phacil. This will include building the team and brining a world class process to the company to build on their successes. Bill has many years of competing and winning deals in a full and open environment which will assist Phacil to compete having graduated from 8(a) small business.

Bill joins Phacil from Zebra, a $3.5B publically traded company and global leader in RFID and barcode technologies. Bill was the Director of Sales for The Western Region. He was responsible for identifying, developing, closing, and implementing player and asset motion-tracking solutions for the U.S. Federal Government including DISA, U.S. Air Force, US Army, and Department of Defense, and sports leagues in the U.S.

Mr. Scott is honored to have been selected for this appointment where he will be collaborating with other leaders in Homeland Security. Homeland Security Week is in its 5th year and will be held in Washington, D.C. on October 5-7, 2015. Mr. Scott joins IDGA and nine other thought leaders in the Home Security community in this collaboration to defeat evolving threats by supporting American Security.

Mr. Scott looks forward to work with such distinguished individuals who are leaders in National Security. “This national security event will be presented from the vantage point of those who are in the trenches every day protecting the homeland. Leaders at several of the GovCon sector’s largest players gave us the names and backgrounds of recruiters they believe everyone in the industry should know for our “Top 10 Recruiters for 2014? story published Monday.

Of those 10, ESGI President Evan Scott volunteered to share his views and perspectives on the executive recruiting landscape for an industry that has seen the budget environment change and consolidation by companies.

Scott also offered ideas for steps recruiters can take to build a successful practice and the role executive recruiters play in the interview process.

ExecutiveBiz: What makes the federal marketplace unique from other marketplaces?

Evan Scott: The word “search” in executive search has become a misnomer. When specializing in the federal market, the network a knowledgeable recruiter has built will typically produce highly sought-after talent for clients. Companies recognize that at the time they have a senior level position to fill, the best candidate for the role is likely to be employed, especially in the current market. It is important to be known within this community and work at developing relationships every day.
