Evan Scott - PresidentEvan Scott, President was one of the founding partners of ESGI. Established in 2000, Mr. Scott brought many years of retained search experience to the company. Prior to helping establish ESGI, Mr. Scott was the Senior Partner and second employee with a retainer based executive search firm where he spent 21 years. When Mr. Scott sold his shares in that firm, the company was listed as the 23rd largest search firm in the country with four offices and 125 employees.

His mission upon opening ESGI's doors has been to bring personalized attention and sophisticated executive search experience to the firm's clients. He believes ESGI should approach each engagement as a strategic partnership with its client. Searches are handled only by seasoned search professionals, who drive all assignments from beginning to end. His goal is to help companies work effectively with federal agencies and the systems integrators that serve government. ESGI also is committed to filling key positions fast. ESGI closes searches in far less time than average for the industry.  This differentiates the firm.

With nearly three decades of experience, Mr. Scott has helped numerous systems integrators, high-tech software and services companies, and small government contractors hire top-level executive talent. His clients have included blue-chip companies such as Lockheed Martin, Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Adobe, Unisys and SRA International. He has helped them fill positions ranging from the Board of Directors and corporate officers such as the CEO, COO and CFO to directors of federal operations, business development, sales, and a host of other executive positions. Mr. Scott brought the first diversity nominees to such clients as SRA International and CNT (now Brocade Communications Systems). Mr. Scott’s expertise and network of connections in the government market—built through years of experience—have made him a trusted counselor who can ensure that executive searches strengthen his clients’ strategic positioning and goals within this market.

Mr. Scott has been quoted in such publications as Business Week, Government Security News, The New York Times, WSJ Technology Daily, DC Examiner, Financial Times and Electronic Design. He has appeared on the Bloomsburg News Network discussing issues related to security and executive leadership. Mr. Scott is the Chairman for The Homeland Security and Defense Council’s Membership Committee and serves on the board of directors for the Washington chapter of the USO. He is also an active member of the Tourette Syndrome Association and has been recognized in Who's Who in American Business. ESGI is a member of NDIAInfraGard and ASIS.

A graduate of Philadelphia University with a bachelor's degree in Management and Marketing, Mr. Scott resides in the Philadelphia area with his wife and son.



Michael P. Humenik, Principal

Mike Humenik Mike Humenik is Senior Vice President Human Resources for the Transportation, Central & Local Government Sector of Xerox Business Services, located in Germantown, Maryland. He joined ACS (Affiliated Computer Services) in September 2006 as Vice President Human Resources for the Government Solutions Group. Currently as the Human Resources Business Partner for the TCLG Sector, Mike is responsible for providing both strategic and transactional HR services to vertical lines of business that include Federal Solutions, Americas Local Government, Americas Commercial & State Government Transportation and International Transportation & Local Government. Annual revenues for TCLG are approximately $1.4 billion with HR responsibility for over 7,000 employees.

Prior to joining ACS, Mike spent two years as President & Chief Operating Officer of Dinte Resources, Inc., an executive search firm in the Washington, DC area. Before entering the search business, Mike had over 27 years of Global Human Resources Leadership, Organizational Development, Executive Assessment, Change Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Succession Planning experience with the General Electric Company. He has held numerous Human Resources Leadership positions with GE Transportation, GE Factory Automation, GE Motors, GE Medical Systems and GE Information Services. In his last position as Senior Vice President Human Resources and Communications at GE Information Services/GE Global eXchange Services, he was responsible for driving and implementing contemporary HR initiatives and programs on a worldwide basis for GE’s information technology, software development and services business focusing on such vertical industries as Government, Healthcare, Transportation, Automotive, Retail, High Tech and Financial Services.

Mike holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a Masters Degree in Counseling & Education from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. Mike serves as a Board Member on the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation

 

Eric Allenson, Vice President, Research

Eric joined the group in 2010. ESGI is frequently cited as a top ten retainer-based executive search firm specializing in federal contracting in part due to the leading-edge research driven by Eric and his team.

Eric’s expertise at outside research includes such tools as AI and Data Analytics. Through these and others, as well as his team management he is able to track top talent in the federal contracting business. This allows the firm to fill searches quickly with proven performers. 

He also handles much of the PR needs of the firm. By tracking all relevant conferences and events attended by top industry leaders he augments ESGI’s visibility in the Federal contracting search profession.

In his spare time Eric is an accomplished musician and quite active in the local music scene.
